This winter, I've shot at this location numerous times. But I never seemed to get the shots I had intended. Therefore I stayed away for a month. Went back there today and to my joy, the ice had broken free from the shore. A sure sign of spring and warmer days ahead.

Although it's a sign of spring, the conditions when I shot this, were less than enjoyable. Strong north-eastern winds (meaning cold winds) and a cold-front bringing compact snowshowers. Typical conditions for the month of March here in Norway. The last winter month. Thankfully though, I was once again blessed with amazing light. Impressive display of light really.

Anyways, thanks for looking and I hope you'll have an enjoyable week and weekend.

I'm having Easter holidays now and it's great to be able to relax and continue my pursuit of light. Happy Holidays.

I almost never set out to photograph a landscape, nor do I think of my camera as a means of recording a mountain or an animal unless I absolutely need a 'record shot'. My first thought is always of light. -Galen Rowell
Hey thanks!

Well, the forecast is looking pretty bad here in southern Norway now. Continuous snow from tomorrow afternoon through the entire weekend. So, winter is definately not gone, but the good news is that any snow that falls in March, won't lie around for long.

Thank you!
