Goodbye Winter
A season ends. Another begins. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Røsholmstranda, Tyrifjorden, Norway Date: March 19th, 2008 Light Conditions: Cloudy -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Camera: Canon EOS 5D Lens: Canon EF 17-40 f/4L USM Focal Length: 17 mm Flash: -- Flash Mode: -- Shutter Speed: 80.0 sec Aperture: 10.0 ISO: 100 Panorama: -- Tonemapping: -- Tripod: Manfrotto 055PROB Tripod Head: Manfrotto 488RC2 Filters: - Cokin Z-Pro Z121S ND Grad (ND8) - Hoya ND400 This winter, I've shot at this location numerous times. But I never seemed to get the shots I had intended. Therefore I stayed away for a month. Went back there today and to my joy, the ice had broken free from the shore. A sure sign of spring and warmer days ahead. Although it's a sign of spring, the conditions when I shot this, were less than enjoyable. Strong north-eastern winds (meaning cold winds) and a cold-front bringing compact snowshowers. Typical conditions for the month of March here in Norway. The last winter month. Thankfully though, I was once again blessed with amazing light. Impressive display of light really. Anyways, thanks for looking and I hope you'll have an enjoyable week and weekend. I'm having Easter holidays now and it's great to be able to relax and continue my pursuit of light.
