FUCK! Sorry but that's the first thing that I said out loud when I opened this full view. What an absolute cracker mate. I'm guessing you blended exposures for this one since your not showing exif.. Mind sharing the procedure? :)

I saw this on NPN.net and I was wondering why you hadn't uploaded it on dA and here it is now :)
Glad you uploaded it here as well.
This is a stunning capture. I can't think of a better dynamic range and colors in the sky!
This photo makes me miss Norway even more ;)

Wow... all the pictures that you've recently added are beautiful, but this one just makes you want to be there. Totally generic comment, I know, but really, it's just so pretty.

Yes this is a two-shot blend. Two separate RAW exposures from the 5D. Blended using layer mask with a black-to-white gradient (in the mask). Then manual paintbrushing on the mask to reveal/hide details.

Thanks :)

I almost never set out to photograph a landscape, nor do I think of my camera as a means of recording a mountain or an animal unless I absolutely need a 'record shot'. My first thought is always of light. -Galen Rowell
