Paradise Bay 01
A view from Paradise Bay... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location: Paradisbukta (Paradise Bay), Oslo, Norway Date: February 09th, 2008 Light Conditions: Cloudy -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Camera: Canon EOS 5D Lens: Canon EF 17-40 f/4L USM Focal Length: 20 mm Flash: -- Flash Mode: -- Shutter Speed: 60.0 sec Aperture: 11.0 ISO: 100 Panorama: -- Tonemapping: -- Tripod: Manfrotto 055PROB Tripod Head: Manfrotto 488RC2 Filters: - Cokin Z-Pro Z121S ND Grad (ND8) - Hoya ND400 Starting a new series. From a location called Paradise Bay near the capital Oslo. This will quickly become my favorite new location. Excellent location for both sunrise and sunsets. And I just love this pier and swimming ladder. Long exposure. Curves adjustments for contrast enhancements and a slight levels adjustment before finishing off with a little noise removal using Noise Ninja. Slight gain in red and yellow saturation (+7 both). EDIT: I also have to mention that the ND400 filter decided to cast a purple hue here. Sadly. I've removed most of the color cast, but still it's a little too purple. While the real-life conditions were similar with the purple light, it wasn't as strong. Sometimes a color cast is easy to deal with in post processing, other times, adjusting color temperature in post-processing can change the whole image. You should have seen the original image  Besides, like I said to Alessio below, I consider my work to be not only depictions of a natural scene, but also art. My own art. Part 1.
