Another one from that gorgeous sunrise the other day down by the sea. One of the greatest displays of light I've witnessed so far in my "photographic career". Sounds cliché I know, but this was the real deal. Cold mornings with 60-70% cloud cover seems to be ideal conditions (at least at this location).

It's one of those occasions when you really have to know the location to get the best out of it (before the colors disappear). So because I knew this location fairly well I already had the compositions envisioned before I arrived.
If you can, visit the good locations numerous time to really get a feel for the place. Some of the best photos I've shot are at the locations I almost know as good as the back of my hand.

Nothing fancy done to this shot except a little dodging in the dark bottom areas (left and right of the jetty). A simple curves adjustment (masking out the top highlights) and of course, sharpened for web.
