The Pine Forest
A dense, foggy pine forest in eastern Norway. From a series called "Moods from Norway".

Ok. This one (as you can see) have undergone a little more processing than usual.
Lame title yeah I know, but I like to keep it simple. I want the viewers to decide the mood this sets them in.
Using Lightroom 1.2 I converted to greyscale then used split toning to get the color effect wanted. Added vignetting too. I wanted this to appear a little soft (not as contrast filled) to add to the mood. No significant levels/curves adjustment.

-- I almost never set out to photograph a landscape, nor do I think of my camera as a means of recording a mountain or an animal unless I absolutely need a 'record shot'. My first thought is always of light. -Galen Rowell
I don't know if you have a similar word in Norwegian but in Sweden we call this 'trollskog' which litterary means troll-forest.
We mean it by those places in the woods where the trees are so tight that almost no light comes in, and looks a bit scary.
Anyhow, this makes me think of that word
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
