It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

I'm alive...

just wanted to tell my fantastic crowd of watchers and good friends that I am indeed still alive and kicking. Just so you know. DeviantART has been neglected from my part the last few months and I'm sorry that I just haven't been as active as I'd like to have been. Stuff happens in real life that you just got to deal with.

Due to mostly work-related photography I haven't really had the same joy for photography as I previously had. Working with photography isn't as fun as shooting the stuff you really love to shoot. BUT, I have to continue and look for those great scenes. Now, the winter is almost over, and I can crawl out of my den and welcome the light again. Winter just doesn't work well for me sadly. Especially not for photography.

Look for some new (and old but not posted) stuff later this week!

And yes, I'm alive

PS! I will be looking through at least some of the pages of the over 10000 deviations the people I watch have submitted... Looking forward to seeing your stuff.

I'm glad that winter is gone too, every year it's just so depressing that there aren't as many beautiful shots to capture as the summer. Glad to see you are going to get some new stuff up here too, can't wait.

PS. I'm probably going to Northern Norway for the Summer. I'm now studying tourism and there's a small village in Finnmark, Varangerfjorden, that I got a practical training job from. Just waiting for their reply about some things..

Winter really get's me down and I get (potentially) 9 hours of light at the darkest point so I completely sympathise. Still with the sun returning I'm really looking forward to seeing more of your beautiful images.
