Biography
| Age: 26 Birthplace: Jevnaker, Norway. Camera: Canon EOS 5D and Canon EOS 400D I consider myself first and foremost to be a landscape photographer since that is what drew me into photography in the first place. While photographing mostly the natural scenery, I also am drawn to the art of conceptual photography and portrait work. I try to broaden my experience so that I will learn more and become an overall better photographer. I aim to show the viewers the Norwegian landscape in all its various shapes and forms while showing a little of myself as well in my photography. For me, landscape photography is all about capturing the natural beauty without needlessly artificially enhancing it. There's really no need for enhancing the great power of nature. I like to think the nature gives me a palette of color, shapes and texture. It's up to me to capture those elements when the light is at its best and utilize them in a composition that makes sense and gives the viewer a sense of actually being present at the location and seeing/experiencing what I'm seeing. I constantly chase the light and when you experience that insanely gorgeous evening or early morning light, there's not many experiences that can top it. |
